ISV-5: HEALTH International Study Visit to CERTH, Thessaloniki

This is the starting point of all material relevant to the 5th ISV to CERTH in Thessaloniki.

Introduction

This is the first of 20 International Study visits from Turkish stakeholders to selected European key players of Horizon 2020. The aim of these visits is to help Turkish organisations network with representatives of innovative and successful research centers and institutions from Europe.

The visit is organised in Thessaloniki for 3 days between Feb 11 – 13. The focus of the visit will be the HEALTH Thematic area and the following topics:

• ICT, Robotics and AI in HEALTH sector
• Digital Transformation in Health and Care

Our aim is to bring together representatives of key institutions and experienced coordinators from major players in Horizon 2020. The Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) with its Information Technologies Institute (ITI) is one of the most successful organisations in the HEALTH relevant calls with hundreds of successfully implemented projects.

The visit will take place at the premises of Institute of Information Technology, CERTH in Thessaloniki. Participants from Turkey will be hosted at The Modernist hotel at the center of the city and transportation has been arranged for them for their transfer to and from CERTH.

Day 1: Tuesday 11/2	Welcoming from CERTH / Presentation of CERTH Institutions and ITI Short Presentations from TR participants / Overview of Horizon 2020 & Forthcoming opportunities in HEALTH & ICT Calls / Topics: ICT, Robotics and AI in HEALTH sector
Day 2: Wednesday 12/2	Focus on Topic: Digital Transformation in Health and Care - Personalised early risk prediction, prevention and intervention based on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data technologies - International cooperation in smart living environments for ageing people - Accelerating the uptake of computer simulations for testing medicines and medical devices - Use of Real-World Data to advance research on the management of complex chronic conditions
Day 3: Thursday 13/2	Open Workshop on HEALTH & ICT - Participation of stakeholders from Greece: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, VIDADO, Gnomon Informatics, Regional Public Health Administration, Papanikolaou Hospital, etc. - Presentations of new ideas from TR participants - Presentations of profile, activities and ideas of participating organisations. - Face to Face networking meetings
