The aim of this training event is to familiarise participants on the essential steps that are needed in order to develop successful proposals under the upcoming calls in Horizon Europe ERC call on Starting Grants (StG). Participants are key actors that are heavily involved with research activities in research institutes and universities or research support staff that provides help to researchers on exploiting ERC funds. The whole event is focusing on participants to build their own proposal as Principal Investigators and understand what makes a winning proposal in this highly competitive call.
The PWC ERC No.3 is not only the training. It is asynchronous training based on the same resources. It is the ERC Masterclass composed of live webinars, on-line support tools and mastering the proposals videoconferences. The objective of the ERC Masterclass is to help ERC applicants to develop their personal narrative with regard to the scientific impact their project will generate, instead of the traditional focus on the societal and economic impact. Such a new narrative requires new vocabulary and a focused structure: this means training researchers in a new logic, where the focus is on what ground breaking science means in their specific field.
