The event aimed to develop knowledge of project writing skills among organisations and individuals who work with SMEs to research, analyse and construct proposals for the EC's Horizon 2020 SME Instrument (SMEI).

- Short presentation on the EC evaluators’ interpretation of ‘Impact’
- Group exercise on a proposal section to identify where ‘Impact’ has been supported, where it could be done better and where it is poor or misleading.
- Each attendee will be provided with a blank checklist document to fill in, based on the group exercises. Final versions prepared by the KEs will be handed out at the end of the workshop
- EXCELLENCE Exercise
- Short presentation on the EC evaluators’ interpretation of ‘Excellence’
- Group exercise on a proposal section to identify where ‘Excellence’ has been supported, where it could be done better and where it is poor or misleading.
